Mont-Castor is an Alpine and cross country skiing place in the winter and the trails are nicely maintained, rocky at times and specialy fast after those long climb. The trails are not very technical but you need a strong heart for the many climbs you will enconter. Night riding is very good there, the trails are wide and clean in wooded areas.

How to get there:
From Pierre Laporte bridge in Québec city, you travel North on Henry 4 highway until you reach Canadian Forces Base Valcartier. Mont-Castor is on the Base and a map is provided with clear informations how to get there. Mont-Castor will provide individual map and IT IS FREE to ride there.

Additional Notes:
It is free to ride there. On Week days , soldiers are sometimes using it to run but it is rare.
