Trail Description:
Fun for the whole family kiddies! Rolling single track through wonderful New Jersey single track. Technical: Roots, Logs, Streams and rocks GALORE! Easy goin': Fire roads along the resevoir, or simplistic flat single track...the place gets packed at peak times. Riders run from families out on an excursion to hardkore soft-tailers to groups on big wheel UNICYCLES!
How to get there:
Route 22 East: make right onto Finderne Avenue(Kemper Pontiac) then a right onto Foothill Road...up over 22...then over 287...then first right onto Steel Gap road...it winds up the mountain...theres a sharp right, then the road flows left...just keep heading straight...the parking lot is on your right at the base of the other side of the mountain.
From 22 West:Right onto Chimney Rock Road...follow it up and about past the quarry and Chimney Rock park...then a left at the light onto Washington Valley Road...then first left onto Newmans Lane...pass the Wade Builing...thru the fields...parking lot is on the left just before u start heading up the mountain
Additional Notes:
Its really an extention of the Chimney Rock Trails...you can either leave the lot and head towards C

They all connect, Ed. These are some of the best flowing trails in NJ. I understand how you could think that but once you learn them, you'll love it!

Fair to poor in my book.
Trails wonder aimlessly with no point and give the park a very small feel. I rode and rode but got nowhere. The only trail that actually goes anywhere is the grass path that is just that, a flat path that runs parallel to Washington Valley road but is not very challenging. If you are new to the area I would recommend traveling a little more and go to Chimney Rock park instead. The trails are groomed better and the views are much better.
