Trail Description:
Great technical trail. More challenging than anything at Castelwood. Great ride though. Most medium skill riders should make it under 2 hours. Less experienced riders 2-3 though.
Great trail with many different terrains. Heavy sharp rocks, loose rock, fast downhill, long climbs and a mellow river trail that rests you back up for the return trip.
How to get there:
Hwy 44 West - to Lewis Rd exit. Take a right on Lewis. Second right is the entrance to West Tyson Park. Take road to the top of the hill to trailhead. Also the other side is accessible from Lone Elk, from the Bowles exit off Hwy 44.

I started from lone elk. The begining was more than disappointing - some loose gravel, mud(the river was kind a high) only the trees on the road keep the people of falling asleep...well that was the begining tho. Once I pass the 2nd rails it became a whole different picture - climbing,climbing.......climbing. There is a "stone formation" with big stones I just didnt figure out a way to take over without stepping on the ground. For the people who never tried the trail after this climbing you`re going to need a helmet in case you loose control over your speed in some kind a easy looking spots. The way back is way more intersting and satisfying - the only problem is again the same stone formation( the way that I figured out is just fast speed and jump - Wear a helmet) on the way back the forest around the river looks really relaxing and I erased my negativism abaut it. Over all is nice trail with lots of loose gravel and stones, good down hill, nice people around trying to impress the ro

This trail will beat you up. Wear your helmets here! Come in shape and be careful on the back down hill.
