This trail has something for everyone. Dual track with rolling terrian. Which leads into alot of technical single tracks which can drop of by 30 feet next to a river. A lot single of figure eight tracks that require skills next to the drop that leads back into the main trail.
How to get there:
Take Interstate 394 South to Glenwood Dyre Rd exit turn right to St. Lawrence Ave. turn right to Glenwood Lansing Rd. then turn left to Cottage Grove st. (north) look for Sweet Woods Forest Preserve entrance on your left. park at the end of prking lot head past stone patio to trail entrance
Additional Notes:
Be careful of some horse crap and small pointy tree stumps in some areas.

I used to ride out here all the time. Bored summers
home from college were spent in sweet woods. I
see many posts about 4 wheelers becoming an
issue. For a while the police of Glenwood used to
turn there head away from ATVers and allow them
to ride. In fact, often times Glenwood police
officers would be riding their own quads on the
trails themselves on their down time. However,
individuals began to abuse their unspoken privilege
and the police department has started to crack
down. The last few summers I have rode out there I
have seen fewer and fewer atvs. However, due to
constant use by them there are some permanent
tread roots that can cause some damage to your
bike, face, and momentum to get up some difficult
hills.
The review "For everyone" I would have to
completely disagree with. there are some very
basic trails, even paved, but as you get deeper and
deeper the technical riding begins to kick in.
Constant elevation changes, bunny

Great trail for all, call the police if you see 4x4's. Also two rope swings over the creek & a large suspended cargo net over the creek

those rail road tracks are halfway into the trail- don't confuse them as a marker for the trail.

Trail is certainly fun to ride on- not necessarily the hardest but very well maintained. Several log jams and extremely narrow bridges to cross. Enter via the forest preserve parking lot. when you come to the RR tracks go left and follow them about 400 feet(over bridge) look for trail to continue off to your left. Worth checking out!
