Trail Description:
Start at Council Lake after parking a car at the Juniper Ridge/Tongue Mountain Trailhead. Took three hardcore dudes 10 hours so get out of bed early and get busy! Green trails maps McCoy Peak and Blue Lake. Truly Epic. This area may be under threat of Wilderness designation. Ride it to discover why we need to work to save this trail
How to get there:
Go south from Randle Washington up the Cispus River valley. Turn right towards the "Cispus Center" about 6-7 miles up the valley. After you cross the river turn left on the gravel road. This trail was amazing except for a few of the switch backs. we started at the high bridge trail head and went the whole loop. it took us about 6 or 7 hours. the only troubles i had was at the 3 switchbacks in a row with out a break. but over all it was fun.

I've done this ride twice. Both times shuttling to Council lake (adding 25
dirt road miles to this long ride is not fun). This seems the best way to do the ride. There is a lot of hike-a-bike
but the views and the sick, moto-plowed downhills are worth it. The final descent is long, swoopy, and super-fast.

I rode part of this as an out and back from the Tongue Mt/Juniper Ridge trailhead. While it has exceedingly beautiful scenery, I turned back at Sunrise Peak. I really don't mind tough terrain and hike-a-bikes, but clambering up waist deep trenches cut by motorcycle abuse and erosion was beyond fun. Too bad because apart from the trail conditions it is one fantastic area.
