Suggest using this trail as part of a 19 mile loop. Start and the Cranberry Vistors Center, ride out Pocahontas Trail for a good ways, take Kennison Mtn. Trail to the right off Pocahontas,
cross Rt.39 and stay on Kennison for about another 1/4 mile or so, when you come to what appears to be old logging skid to right "South Mountain Trail". The old logging skid turns into singletrack on down the mountain and is a blast. Comes out on Cranberry River Trail about 1/4 mi. from gate. Go straight across road onto Cow Pasture. About 3/4 of the way around Cow Pasture you will come out at what appears to be an old blacktop road with grass growing on it in a beautiful bottom (pasture). Go left on this old road and start a gradual climb to Rt.150 about 200 feet from the Stop Sign at Rt.39 across from the Vistors Center. Great, fun loop.
