CBC is a good warm up for the rest of the
mountain. For all the dummies complaining about
the lack of XC trails, there are plenty on the north
shore if you ask politely. Otherwise bring your full
face and armour for some steep rooty gnarl that is
the real north shore. One other thing - whether you
choose to shuttle or not is your business. If you
want to grind up the hill and 'earn your ride', there's
nodoby at the top waiting to pin a hero medal on
your chest. Leave the attitude for somewhere else
or go home. People choose to shuttle to maximise
runs on the mountain with the free time they have,
not because they're lazy. If you enjoy riding up
hills, take up road racing instead.

Seymore is an excellent mountain.
CBC is a classic. This trail has some
black diamond sections. Some fast,
some tech. Under constuction right
now. If you want to help contact the
NSMBA. Seymore attracts a lot of
traffic because you can drive up. I
noticed another post mentioning that
they were disappointed with
Vancouver becuase of the laziness. If
you ride Fromme (the mtn infront of
Grousse) you will find a lot less traffic
on the trails than you will on Seymore
because you have to ride up. Highly
recommended if you want a true
freeride experience. Vancouver has
yet to disappoint me.

rode part of it. Good down hill, but any nut can do that!
I was very disappointed in vancouver. I hauled my bike from the center of the western world and was expecting some XC trails. It's all downhill!!!
And, no one rides up them (everyone drives). No real appreciation for the hill. Just like a roller coaster ride and then drive back up it.
I was pretty much the only one biking up Seymour and I was pretty much the only one biking down town Vancouver! Everyone drives like a lazy bastard!
Concrete city.

Great trail for sure. Rode it on 3/21/04 and it's still a little too wet from winter thaw.
When it's drier it is surely a worthy ride, IMO.
Part of a nice long run when you take CBC to Corkscrew, Pingu and Team Pangor trails.
Get those shuttle vehicles ready!!
