Trail Description:
It is a great short trial to get out and ride on. If you are a big freerider this is a big hill in the middle were there are steep down hills and many jumps. There is also a dirt jumping coarse there. The Cross Counrty trails are very fun. I train on them all season long.

How to get there:
Take 94 north to Tower, get of at Tower and take it to skokie lagoons. Get onto the bike trail and head north. About a mike up the trial there will be a turn off into the woods. TAKE IT

Additional Notes:
It is a great local Trail, Come out and try it.

Well said Huckster, and this trail needs major work.

Illegal trails will never die. I prefer to call them not "illegal trails" but rather "trails that are fun and arent boring like most "legal" trails". Illegal trails will stop (haha, yeah right) when official trails begin to incorporate man made structures and stunts (with bypasses of course) and we are not talking about little skinnies and log overs. Put some drops, jumps, ladder bridges, step downs, step ups...etc... of course Im not asking for this to be done without the help of everyone who would want them. Just saying, if you are a freerider in Illinois, and you dont ride "illegal trails", then you are not a "freerider" because... well, I have already said it :) ***end of rant. :) haha.

If this single track trail is not specifically marked (4x4x8 post with accompaning confidence markers), the trail you are describing is ILLEGAL. Your moment of pleasure will directly affect all primitive trails throughout the county, specifically the mountain bike trails. CAMBr has worked hard over the past ten years to legitimize mountain biking within the county and riding illegal trails only hurts the cause. STAY OFF unmarked trails. You are also subject to a mandatory court appearance and hefty fine when caught. This doesn't even take into consideration what will happen to your bike in the process.

The trail was in pretty bad condition which I am attributing to a wet winter and its low elevation relative to the surrounding lagoons. Very pretty scenery. Couldn't find the big jumps but did find a few technical spots that were good. This would a good trail to explore when it's dry and you have a lot of time to get lost. Mud factor was cool but slowed my pace down a lot, I would imagine it will be nicer in the summer. Michael Zeleniuch, http://www.bigfern.com

Not the biggest out there, but this place is tons of fun many times over. Give yourself an extra challenge by biking in there after a rainstorm :)
