Trail Description:
Camp Camfield has recently been converted from a hiking path to a multi-use (hiking/biking) trail system. With the cooperation of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (Lake Shelbyville), and the Central Illinois Mountain Bicycling Association, Camfield will soon become another biking destination for riders in Central Illinois. There are currently approximately 5 miles of trails at Camfield with more mileage planned for future use. Most of it is singletrack, as well as some jeep roads and meadows. The terrain is gently rolling with some steeper ups/downs in places as well as some rooty sections.
How to get there:
From Sullivan, heading south on Route 32: Go south from the Pizza Hut about 1.2 miles. Turn right (west) on the road just south of the VFW Hall. Go 1.3 miles until the "T" intersection. Take a left (south). At the next road, take a right (west). Go 1 mile to the entrance of Camp Camfield (south side of road).
Additional Notes:
Camp Camfield is a stacked loop system with a route for beginners, which is about 2 miles long. The

this is probably not a good place take the family for a ride unless you are all pretty experienced. these trails are very tight and narrow. there are some drop-offs to the sides of the trails and lots of narrow bridges which keeps it very exciting!

Trail is a lot of "East-West" riding, and not a lot of "North-South". So, if you like smaller slopes, easy short climbs, and quick turns, this is worthwhile. There are one or two larger hills, and climbs, so the place has a little of everything.
