Understand that I'm extremely amateur on my 2000 Haro. I love this trail and ride it at least twice a year. Since my Mother lives in Mineral Wells (I'm in San Antonio) I have a reason to go up. This trail starts at Minearl Wells and winds up and over slight hills to MW State Park, then mild up and down, pasture, creeks, some wooded and bridges to Weatherford. There's little by way of modern facilities, and virtually no traffic, pedestrian or bike, in this area. It is so uplifting. I'm heading up next week, as a matter of fact.

took vacation in April ..this year to hunt various parks for a good, flat scenic ride...not a mountain biker...because i like photography, like to sit back and look .stop, enjoy, not spend too much time watching where i am going...and this place was as near perfection as i could have hoped to find( other than a bike only paved trial). scenic, through wonderful wooded meadow rich,Texas pasture and farmland, hardly any one on the trails( all were on bikes..all 5 or 6 i saw).ran into deer, great spring flowers ( though sparse generally),rich woods, open spaces,a bobcat!!!! a pygmy goat with his lttle burro and a beautiful brown mare sidekicks..the goat is a talker and will come to the fence to chat..this little critter was VERY talkative ...say 'baahhh' to him and he really responds!! funny as hell.and very photogenic and be scratched with the sidekicks following him . all and all a really neat ride...and i will look forward to going back...only rode halfway from the Weatherford end(
