Trail Description:
Beautiful hidden park in Novi, Michigan. 7 miles of rolling terrain, with 1.5 miles of "expert" trail which has small log hazards and some fun whoop-de-doos. Includes forest, meadow, some small creek crossings on bridges. Deer are seen sporadically. Very little traffic, because it is mostly unmarked until you get there!
How to get there:
In michigan, off I-96 north on Novi Road just north of 12 mile to Old Novi Road, hand a left at the light there, follow around past Walled Lake to the Lakeshore Park entrance, and enter!
Additional Notes:
This park is under a great deal of public scrutiny now, as the city of Novi has/had an agreement wit

That would be absolutely nonsense if they took away the bike trails for families to enjoy in a fine city like Novi. Lakeshore park is a "GEM" its a beautiful park and thats what it should stay. They wanted to TEAR down link of Novi a few years back b/c we had TWO MANY GOLF COURSES, BIG MISTAKE if they get rid of the bike and walk trail. And we have TWO other GOLF COURSES two miles away from each other. They need to RETHINK THIS.

This trail has changed remarkably over the last few years due to the great relationship between the city of Novi and the Michigan Mountain Biking Association. This is a well groomed 10 miles of sweet singletrack that snakes and twist through the woods with rock gardens, log jumps, free ride stunts and a pump track. All have bypasses and lates not forget the "Tuesday Night Rides" sponsored by Team Tree Farm. These rides go year round and meet at the trailhead at 6:30 on Tuesdays. They are "NO DROP RIDES"

This trail is excellent for the intermediate rider
looking to gain some adittional skill to move to the
next level. I ride this trail onece a week for fun and
really enjoy it. If you come early you can avoid
paying he $4.00 fee.

A good beginner trail. Almost all single track. Some tight twisty sections. Would be harder at a race pace. The trail is 10.0 miles with about 200 feet of vertical climbing.

It ‘rocks’ when you enjoy a good trail.
Say, have you checked out the Trail Advocacy link just on the left listed under the Trail Guides heading? Please remember it’s only as good as the effort that’s put into making it that way and it can disappear tomorrow. Please do your part. Thanks

Looks like the city of Novi has decided the golf is more prosporous the biking. They have begun construction on the golf course. I think most of the trail is still in tack but for how much longer is anyones guess. Sad to see a nice close trail list disaper because of a wait of time like golf.
