The park proper (OP) trails aren't worth riding. The action is down along Leon Creek between Bandera & Babck, and out past Old Babck Rd. The trails within OP are tight, slow, not much flow. If you want to get your CrossCountry on, stick to Leon Creek, I prefer the East side of the creek on the Bandera End, then you run on the West Side from the big Rock Garden to Blanco. The whooptee-do area is a novelty....there is a nice jumping section if that's your thing as well.
People should refer to these trails as "Leon Creek", like they do Salado Creek.....because OP is only a place to park IMO.
I can't spell babc_ck on this website, it says it's "profane".......

Moving to the area soon and interested in riding these trails. I'm getting over a torn ACL and really interested in getting back into riding. (been about a year) any advice or direction to a group ride would be great. I'm always up for meeting new riding friends

I just moved here myself and started riding op trails. I'm finding more and more trails to ride. I usually ride by myself. I'm interested in riding in a group.

This park is pretty good it has many trails. If you really want to get dirty then head towards the bottom where the empty creek is at. I always ride at this park.If any one wants to ride alone with me let me know..

there are over 20+ miles of singletrack out here. most locals fav trail within SA. the description and directions here are horrid! the park is on the intersection of bandera and braun. best to go into the park past the YMCY, turn left at stop sign, and park at the parking lot on the right across from the Y. there are tons of rider in the parking lot. most won't mind showing you around. i've attached my google map of the last time i rode out there.
