Great 8mi. loop starting with single track, going through dual track and and dirt road and back to single track.

How to get there:
Take Hwy33 from the 101 to Ojai. Turn left at the post office tower at Signal Rd. Continue to the top of Signal Rd. and look for a sign directing you left toward the Pratt Trailhead. Make the left at the top of the hill and continue to the dirt parking lot at the trailhead. To do the loop and return to your car: Ride up the PRATT TRAIL through single track and private property until you reach the Y at the top of a STEEP hill, bare right on FULE BREAK RD over hills then through more single track. After single track, go left and follow trail markers after on a dirt road untill you reach the GRIDLEY TRAIL(1/4mi.). Go right down the single track trail to Gridley Rd. This is my favorite short loop with a little bit of everything. The uphills can be brutal and the s

I guess this loop sounds fun, but you can ride alot more single track on parallel trails. Follow directions to the dirt lot at the top of Single road. Ride up the single track through private property (not illegal, but mind you'r trail edicate so it can remain that way;lots of foot/hoarse traffic untill you cross the res. road) After the residential road, keep climbing on the fire road for about 1/8 - 1/4 of a mile keeping a look-out for a single track cutting to the right under a rock cliff face (Foothill rock) This trail is an old trail that not that many people frequent often. Lots of water bars to hop off of. The trail will climb, decend, and then out to a fire road. Continue on this road. It will turn to S.T. for a fun downhill thruogh tunnles of trees/brush. Turn left on the first fire road after that D.H. Continue for about 1/2 mile or so uphill untill you see a singletrack to the right (lower Gridley) From there, you can either continue on the fire road (Gridley to Nordolf

To see this loop written as a loop is funny. I've ridden these exact trails for 14 years and never done that sequence of trails as a loop, but it would actually be very fun. "Fule" road is really "Fuel Break Rd." as in breaking the fuel for forest fires before they get to town. This loop has about 100 really good variations that go in 100 directions for incredible rides. Shelf road is for girls - really, my wife jogs it every morning - so don't kill anybody when you ride it. Personally I feel like a kook if I'm ever on it, however it will get you back to your car. Here's another insane full on single track heaven loop - I'll start you at the same trail head off of Signal Street. Go up the single track, hit the dirt road, at the dirt road "y", go left, climb up. At the saddle, go down, - the single track on the right at the saddle is a 4 mile insane uphill grind (the real Pratt Trail) over Norhoff Peak followed by a six mile single track downhill on Gridlely
