Trail Description:
The park offers something for everyone. The circle by the swimming pool has limited climbs and some rocks but is good for beginners. The North Ridge area offers a great climb for advanced riders and a fast downhill depending on which side you attack from. The Golf Course trail has more tree roots to look out for but is'nt to challenging. Behind the horse arena is a couple short but cool trails that lead to the skate ring (watch the rocks and logs). The whole area gets pretty muddy after rain so watch for chainsuck to prevent drivetrain damage. There are at least three fun downhills, short but fast.

How to get there:
take 279N to McKnight road exit. stay on McKnight until you see the north park exit. Get off exit and make first left after the bike shop on the left. The a quick right (1st one you see) stay straight and you'll see a lot on your left (J.C. Stone Field) to park, and get water in. lots of places to park on that road.

Additional Notes:
plenty of places to get water, no close bike shope, and park maps are available to help with above d

I've been riding North Park for awhile now. I can confirm that mountain bikes ARE allowed in the park. Just remember to be polite to walkers and joggers though because some of them frown upon us. Trails are pretty nice too...nothing too technical. Lots of room to play though :)

I've been riding there for over 5 years. Havn't been hastled by anyone. Make sure you are polite to walkers/horseback riders. Plenty of trails around, you just have to look, not as technical. If you are in the area then go to Hartwood Acres for some good technical riding.

I was told the mt bkr's were not allowed on the trails by the park office.
