Update on Dana Peak, Trails are a bit revised due to flooding from a few yrs back, but in good shape, reubuilding and construction down by the lake is going on, there may be a fee to enter (2.00) maybe, fenceline is worst area after rain. equines are present on weekends, voices carry so you can hear em prior, stay away from lake, better than BLORA as far as overall riding goes. Helmet, gloves and camelbak are good to have, flats are common, bring tubes, if beginner go slow and try to ride with someone. Ride to stone bench is 6 miles out, not for beginners out there, but fun if ya stick with the flat stuff and wooded areas.

I talked to the Army Corp of Engineers local office at Stillhouse and Dana Peak is off limits as in NO TRESSPASSING until summer 2009 when repairs will start. Fines if you trespass the signs!!!

This park is closed for a while, I drove out there today and found out the flooding from last year caused a lot of damage.

Being my first trail, I enjoyed this one a lot. its a small ride to the main spot and once your there you can choose to go several paths. there is some fun little hills and then you start going down a thin path downhill. very fun.

One large hill makes for some good downhill action. As long as you stay on the trails it would be rated low to moderate difficulty. If you leave the trail to drop down to a lower trail you can get some short challenging lines.
