Trail Description:
This small trail is an addition to an ongoing project by the good folks in Peachtree City (golfing community) south of Atlanta. It begins at the man made lake and rolls along the ridges and banks above Line Creek. Lots of roots, and rocks. (I did say LOTS of roots didn't I? Good!)Theres even some slickrock into the creek (river) that you can ride on, but be careful of the wet, mossy spots. It ends with a mix of paved cart pats/road to get back to trail head.
How to get there:
I 85 south to Exit# 61 (Fairburn)Turn left on HWY 74 Follow approx 15 miles, Turn right on Hwy 34 follow about 2 miles turn Right into Days Inn. Trail head is down dirt road across parking lot from motel.

just making this clear, there is no longer a days inn near it, the tore that motel down and build a shopping area with a dollar tree and kobe steakhouse. but they made the entrance like 20 away from the original. it's accesable through the highway, no need to go into the shopping parking lot. just clearing this up so people can get to it :)also, it ends where they are building a new lake so LOTS of mudding trails that can be somewhat beneficial to bikers and wheelers

Great for technical skill practice. Was visiting the area late October of 2008 and checked out this trail. Wish I had it in my backyard for technical work. Not worth driving too far to. Also check out the BMX park in Peachtree.

This trail is okay if you live really close (i ride to it). This trail requires dismounting often near the creek, but there are some areas were you can get some speed up. (Except for the bridge (you will see), i near broke my hip and i shattered my cell phone) :)

This trail is a great practice trail for locals, don't drive out of your way for it. Some serious roots and stair steps. Also with 3" inches of rain bring your kayak, it has some great surfing waves at flood level.

If you are looking for a fast trail that you can keep up some moderate speeds through, this doesn't seem to be it. This trail almost demands that all but the most advanced riders dismount their rigs to pass certain rocky areas and "hiker's steps".
I laid it down on one of the loose dirt areas closer to the cart path and came out with elbow hamburger. Be careful.

Some parts are unrideable and you have to get off and walk, but these are not very long. Some areas are really fast and fun.( I hit a tree :) ) Really good if you live close, but not worth a long drive. With a little work this would be an awesome trail...

I was there yesterday, 1/15/06, and it didn't flow very well at all. The place is more of a nature hike than bike ride. It really is rooty and not just on the small side, you really have to manage your way through it unless you want to end up in a marshy area due to the fact that it runs along the side of the creek or should I say small river.. It isn't a loop either, you go down the trail, hit the end where a golf cart path is, then turn around and come back.. I would suggest heading to the Horse park or even Dausset trails...

if you're close by this is an ok workout. There
aren't a lot of rideable trails and I'm not sure if
PTC's finest will let us back there to work on
the trails. You can, however, work on some
decent climbs and descents and creek
crossings. But I wouldn't drive very far.

I took my brother-in-Law here who just got started mountain biking on the recomendation of the local bike shop. The section down by the river is almost unrideable as it has been nearly washed out by all the rain we've had. A re-route further up the bank would be a good idea for the trail's logevity and would reduce some of the sandy spots that really bog you down. The section called "mule" something (I can't remember exactly)on the other side of the dam was a little better but was overgrown by too many sapplings to make it much fun. I can see that there is great potential here if the locals will get together for a couple of work weekends. There is one downhill that isn't a killer but was fun going up and down. For the less experienced who simply want to ride, there is a cart path at the end of the parking lot that is far enough away from Peachtree City to greatly reduce golf cart traffic. I didn't see a single cart down there. I live on the north side of town so was

Oh, one other thing. The directions say to take a right into the Days Inn but it is actually on the left side of the road as you come from Hwy 74. I missed it the first time 'cause I was looking the other way.
