Trail Description:
Angwin is a Seventh Day Adventist town. If you do the ride, do not plan on buying anything on Sundays, the town is closed. When you hit the town, follow the signs to the airport and park, the trail starts here. The trails are on this property, and to give you an idea, they had a race there a few years back, and just the one loop for the race was over 26 miles, and this barely scraped what this place has to offer. Do not go alone, you can get lost, because the place is thousands of acreas of forest.
How to get there:
If you know where Napa is, continue north on the Silverado Trail (a road) till you see the signs for Angwin (thirty minutes or so). Once you take the right turn here, it will take about fifteen minutes till park time.

Well, this sounds like what I've been dreaming about for a long long time!
Regarding the sda sectcult, if we still lived under the law the veil wouldn't have been rent nor would we be able to go directly into His presence.
Wake up, if you're really a believer you should get your act together with regard to Jesus' teachings and begin to consider yourself free of the law.
Lukewarm just won't cut it.
Now go ride and get your head together!

This is an awsome trail. One should note that it is not Sunday that the town is closed but it it the Sabbath day Saturday. The 4th commandment says to rest on the Sabbath day Saturday and man has changed this day to Sunday. The Roman Catholic churh did this in the mid 1500's and it has stuck every since. If you read the bible it clearly states that Saturday is the seventh day and this does not make this church a cult. Have a great day and fun riding

Just a word to those who will travel up on weekends. Angwin is closed on Sat. not Sun. But if you live here you will get your mail on Sunday!! Odd example of separation of church and state!

Good, varied rideing; steep climbs; techincal descents; North Shore- type drops and obstacles beginning to pop up here. also note that the cult, er, i mean Adventists who run the show here do not allow alcohol sales, so expect to drive a while for a post-ride cold one!

Best place to get lost and energized. So many trails to choose from! It is a must that you go ride the woopdee doo's. They are off the Posadas road (where everyone parks). Do the races. I think there are two per year, but they are awesome!!!

These trails are in my backyard and I still beleive they are among the best I ever rode. For over ten years i've ridden this area.I still have yet to find the edges of most of the forest as the area is huge It should be noted that it is acctually saturday that the town is closed (seventh day adventists do run the town) Also no meat is available in the town so prepare to go veggie. There is a soda machine available-yes even on saturdays- at the market.

AKA Las Posades or Angwin. This area is a combination of private property(PUC) and state forest. There are lots of winding singletrack, some double track, and "streets" of fire road. There is all combination of terrain here, beggining, intermediate and expert. Riding here gives a well rounded experience. Please note PUC will be selling there portion of the land, so ride now before it all gets turned into massively overpriced homes.
