Technical, tight, steep, drys out quick, plenty of fun. Bring your 4" travel hardtail and stay off the brakes. 7 miles in length (expert loop, cylco-computer verified) for 2010. If your not spent after the first lap, comeback and do three in a row under 125 minutes and you will go home spent!

I read all the fuss about this trail and I had to come and try it. Unless you are a beginner, this trail is an easy ride. There are some steep climbs, but fairly short. Some of them are difficult only due to the hairpin turn that has to be negotiated. I ride a regular mountain bike but I feel that a hybrid would be more appropriate for this trail. I liked certain obstacles but other (going through twin trees or some log left in the middle of the road, after a tricky climb, almost broke my bike each time I negotiated it) did not make any sense. For my first time there I rode two laps and felt there was room for more. The area is beautiful and it really pays to stop here and their and admire that forest. The trail is well kept (grass and weeds out of the way.) It upset me that someone dumps full garbage bags right in some part of the forest. That killed me.

Totally surprised. I came in from Wisconsin thinking there was nothing this good. These guys put a lot of work into this place and the freeride section is pretty awesome. They were in the process of building the dirt jump section and had some doubles and a hip too. Looks like it is going to have some serious stoke. I also hate anything that isn't downhill, but the climbs here were difficult in more than just getting you out of breath and the switchbacks are tight, so that made it fun too Locals are friendly too. This is as good of a ride and as dedicated of a crew that you will find in the midwest. Thanks guys!

The knob is only just over 5 miles now since they closed the bottom section well over a year ago. The top half is still the best part anyways and its just over 5 miles long. Still a tough ride where you will likely bleed and smile all at once. If you are near Wooster Ohio you don't want to miss this one. FYI they do hunt here in the fall and early winter as this is privately owned land. Make sure you throw a few bucks in the donation box of the cabin, we don't want DR. Knob running out of beer funds.

Best ride around. If you're looking for a happy, fun, little trail, keep your $200, Wallmart special, piece of crap bike at home. If you want a ball-buster with lots of technical riding, this is your place. Go home tired. Go home muddy. Go home with a grin on your face.

Extremely well maintained and very technical for Ohio's standards. Definitely check it out and be prepared to be tired after the ride. Excellent, excellent, excellent.

Simply the best course in Ohio. Coming from Colorado I was sure I wouldn't find any trails/courses worthly. This one measures up. Excellent single track with good long climbs and downhills that will test your skills and help you develop your techicnal riding as well. If you can't find the site as you drive up and down Mechanicsburg road just look for the big wooden Vulture next to the corn field pointing the way. The staff or persons that groom and build the trail are excellent so make sure to leave a donation at the trail-head. Good job Vulture's knob, Rock On!

This trail is simply amazing. If you haven't ridden this trail yet, you haven't experienced mountain biking in the midwest. Plenty of log bridges, as well as regular bridges to entertain yourself. Make sure your brakes work, because you'll be using them on the steep descents.
