Trail Description:
This place is great. Located in the middle of Bangor you can get there easily. There are many miles of trails because in the summer the park is dedicated to mountain biking. Complete with a dual slalom course and hills that will make you break more than a sweat. It is well upkept and has so many trails I can't give a distance. There are weekly races all summer.
How to get there:
Take Essex Street in Bangor.
Additional Notes:
There is parking, bathrooms. etc.

The trail is incessantly rocky. It bounces you everywhere even when you did pick the right line. I went hard with an experienced rider from the area that introduced it to me and it simply wasn't fun. I'm now living in the area so I truly wish it had more tricky areas not consisting of just rock mixed with long rolling areas where you can 'get the lead out' for a bit. Know what I mean? If you know any such areas please post.

Fun, but once you ride it a few times it gets old as there are not many trails to choose from. But if you are looking for a quick ride with mixed terrain that will give you a workout, this is it. The best Singletrack in the Bangor area is, in my opinion, at the city forest aka the bog. To the new guy to town- Don't ride the gravel paths when you go to the city forest, ride some of the side trails. There are many awesome trails out there, but most are not marked. Across the railroad bed is a good place to ride as well.

I am very new to Bangor, (been here about 6 months) and would love to have a more detailed map on how to get there. I like on Kenduskeag Ave. I have riden in the Bangor City park and that wasn't too exciting, but this 1 sounds much better. You can e-mail me this info. at jmbcmcgarry@netzero.com Thank you very much in advance. I ranked this trial a "poor" because I had to put in something to do the comments. Thanks.

Has nice wide dirt/gravel trails with side trails for the hardcore rider. There is an excellent high speed downhill section following some powerlines. Tight technical sections through the woods that are cramped and you have to pick your root wisely so you don't take a digger. Great place and is worth a bit of a drive.
