to get to these Old Taylor trails you should exit off of HWY 6 onto coliseum drive. go accross the bridge away from campus and keep going straight through the stop sign. you will come the whirpool plant entrance. look to the right and you see a gravel road. this is the trailhead. park on the street and ride.

the trail has gotten better with a ski jump, and some downhill singletrack that will get you up to 30mph it fun for all. some trails are easy and some are very technical.

the trail is not 35 miles long. it was originaly 12.5 miles long. i live here in Oxford. most of the trail is closed off due to hunting season so about 6 or 7 miles of trail are left. a new trail was just cut. Its off to the right just as you enter the rail bed. Ha Ha you crazy rednecks try and stop us if you can.

ride the rail bed until you get an orange sign that says "outer limits"

directions: many use the whirlpool truck entrance on old taylor road; however coliseum drive is much better.from hwy 6 take the coliseum drive exit.turn south on coliseum (opposite campus). at the T intersection turn right. proceed approx 100 feet to the bottom of the hill. turn left onto church street. about 500 feet on the left you can access the railbed. this is the main spine of the trail system. it is straight and flat. the single track to the left and right twists, truns, climbs, and falls. this is very prime ridding for this area.

How about giving usable directions to the trailhead?
