Take US 2 through Norway and turn on US 8 take about 3 miles until you see big sign saying Peirs gorge. Then turn right and follow road 2 miles to parking lot.

It ‘rocks’ when you enjoy a good trail. Say, have you checked out the Trail Advocacy link just on the left listed under the Trail Guides heading? Please remember it’s only as good as the effort that’s put into making it that way and it can disappear tomorrow. Please do your part. Thanks

Always love riding piers gorge. Excellent hardpack trails littered with great rock faces and fast downhills. The actual piers gorge trail parallels about a 40 min ride along the menominee river. If your in for a longer ride and dont mind getting a little lost, you can actually make it to the top of the niagara bluffs via power lines, abandoned mill rds and a little sense of direction-- go to the very end of the piers trail, look up stream about a mile, theres the bluffs. It'll take about two hours up. Find and travel with the power lines for a start in the right direction. Makes for a great daylong ride, and an hour or so of great downhills to piers parking lot.

Amazing trail! I've ridden out there for many years and it never disappoints. Not exactly all single track.(I'd say 70% single and 30% two track.) The trail can be done in about 45 minutes if you're a good rider. No joke about the steep cliffs between the river and trail, I almost fell in once. It's usually busy out there with people hiking, fishing, kayaking, and rafting so be cautious about that. There are ascents and descents with all rock face, so bring a full suspension if you have one and have fun!
