Molas Pass to Durango via Colorado Trail

Trail Description:
This is a Durango clasic: 73 miles of singletrack, takes all day, and puts one hell of a smile on your face.

How to get there:
Leave one car in Durango, Drive HWY 550 to Molas Pass, take the dirt road (left) to Little Molas Lake, park, go ride.

Bring the headlamp :)

my friend & mt. bike guide John H, from Ophir, did this in one day with a friend, and it took them 9 hours. you need to be a really competent rider, take enough food, water, xtra tubes, tools and 1st aid kit. start before dawn and let someone know where you're going. i've riden this in 4 days, with support. more pleasant that way.
