Trail Description:
This is a jumper's paradise. There are about 1 mile of downhill hill whoop de doos that will keep ya happy. This trail should only be attempted if you are confident in your bike handling skills, as you do pick up speed. You can jump the whoops or just ride them as a rollercoaster up and down ride, it all depends your skills.
BE AWARE OF THE BIG GULLY JUMP. It's about 5 feet wide and 5 feet deep. So if you don't clear it, you'll eat it big time in the gully and hurt yourself pretty bad.
The trail is full of loose shale, so where knee and elbow protection if you are not a confident bike handler.
How to get there:
Take the 405 Freeway. Exit Sunset Blvd and head West. Make a Right on a street called Kenter and proceed North. Proceed North, going up the winding street until it ends. This is where the trailhead is. Park on the street and be nice to the neighbors. Proceed up the fireroad and you will see the end of the whoop de doos on the left. You can ride up the whoops or take the fire road climb on right. Once the top near the break wall, take the singletrack to the left and the whoops will start before you know it and should last for a mile. There is a big gully jump that will break you and your bike. It comes up towards the midway point of the whoops. Break left to avoid the jump.
Additional Notes:
Spring and summer is rattle snake season in the Santa Monica Mtns, so keep your eyes out.

I rode down there from Mulholland. Crappy ride from there, but the whoops are amazing. Hats off to the people that built them. I can understand why THEY might be a little territorial, but... Don't build the Mona Lisa and then get mad when people want to look at her. And if you didn't participate in the building, shut up. BTW, mid-day on the 8th, weren't a soul there. Enjoyed the whoops without anyone hassling me. I'm really impressed by the work someone put in to build the whoops. Now be nice you hard workers, you.

Love this trail but I want to build some ladder bridges
farther up the trail near the top. Does anybody know
of any restrictions to this?
