Trail Description:
Technical single track with low hanging branches, vines, cabbage palms, wild boars, deer, and gopher tortoises. Some short climbs, sugar sand, and a couple rocky sections have coral rocks; don't fall down.
How to get there:
Take SR 78 about 8 miles east from the Bayshore exit of I-75. There are 3 park entrances; the one for the riding park is on the north side of the road.
Additional Notes:
Good walk-in tent camping across the street, in the same park system.

If you remember this trail is in SW Florida you will
be surprised at all the elevation changes. There
is an old pipeline on this property and mudcutters
have done a lot of work lately to ensure a
pleasurable experience. It is as technical as you
make it, more speed equals a more technical
experience. Wildlife abounds around every
corner, I have seen bobcat, gopher tortuous, deer,
turkey, pigmy rattlesnake, wild hogs and a few
others. This place is a must do if you're in the
area.

This trail is what you make of it, perfect for beginners to get a tast of what the sport is all about in a setting that wont discourage them from returning. For more advanced riders you need to try this trail at speed, the faster you ride it the better it becomes. There are a few climbs, a few shorts downhill sections, and plenty of good scenery.

Trail has changed a lot this year. The group in charge og trail, www.mudcutters.org , has hadded 2 miles of single black diamond single track to the back section. The new stacked loop system is ideal for all mountain bike riders. This is also the first year for Florida State Championship Series to be help at CRP in Avle Fl. Definately worth a look.

Not technical, but fast riding with plenty of wildlife - the trail cutters have done everything they can with the available terrain - Worth a visit.

I agree that the trail isn't extrememly challenging, but considering the location, I think that it is worth a visit. The local Mudcutters are always making improvements and adding trail sections. The switchbacks, with sharp palm tree branches on each side, will make you think twice about the speed of the corners. Some new bridges have been added over wet sections in the back...they can sure be slippery in the rain.
I always ride the trail when visiting the area.

This trail is used mostly by locals who race to keep in shape because there aren't any trails close by. It's hard to maintain during the rainy season, so it's not. Don't go there until November through March. This is a beginner trail or used only for exercise and getting faster. Locals like it because it's the only trail around the area.

This place is good only if your realy just in to the trail riding. The back section is the only real good "woodse" section now.
