these trails are great. remember to have your state lands use permitt in hand. to build or maintain trails on public ground is against the law do not get caught. if you abuse it you will lose it. tread lightly and stay on the trail no more new trails they will close it down to the kings forest.do not forget your helmets and ride with a friend when doing this hairball stuff found in the spencer complex. respect private proerty.

yeah that is one of the best place's go if you either expert begener or a person looking for fun there is a old singel track if you follow the rode and the it forks take a right and its a good 5-7 miles and really easy look out for some fallen rocks but other then that when it takes you to the road take right and follow it to the pave ment and its a mile and your back to botem of spencer and then if you follow the road up it will fork three ways if you want some moderit down hill go sright and then follow it and it will take you to a big open area and you have three trails the one you came up one on the left and right the on the right will take you to the one you came up on and the the one on the left is phyco a bunch of trees you have to jump briges and huge drops and then if you want a good trail thats relitively easy but has some tecnical down hill take the one you came up on go for that its fun and when you get to the fork go straght and follow to the botem have fun be safe de

the trails around spencer lake are out of this world. there are some super cool stunts that friends of mine built, and some new trails that they are working on. if you want to find some super techy stuff, ride your butt up spencer mountain and hang on for the ride. it will blow your socks off. If you happen to see any DNRC guys hangin out up there, throw rocks at em and tell them to leave our mountain alone. we dont need any more condos. Enjoy!

If you like A-Line thrills from Whistler this place isn't quite for you - but if you enjoy single track with man made obstacles (yes, we are rebuilding them, slowly but surely) this is, as my friend so lovingly says, EPIC. The only downside of Spencer is the land policy of the DNRC. This area is in the recreational capital of montana - but it is also one of the only areas where realestate (so i can't spell) makes enough income for the state to lease off - so the area is getting screwed over bit by bit. If you know or have anyideas about how to keep recreational stuff open PLEASE voice it somehow - i'm always listening (k1725@yahoo.com) That is really the only reason why i'm posting - i believe in the unwritten code: "Riders don't tell you how to get you to a trail - they take you there. When the time is right the trail will find you."

A waste of time for extremists as the state land trust has torn down 10 years worth of stunt/trail building in order to pave the way for greedy short time development and thus stealing the land from recreationist forever. UBUILDWEBURN

The banked ladder is excellent, check out my photo on page 6 of the september 'Mountain Bike' issue. The trail is for extremist only, and it needs work in some places.

Big drops are sturdy and well bult, some technical areas, some stunts could also use some maintenance.
