Trail Description:
1 mile or so of dual track dirt road, 2.5 miles or so of single track (intense left and right turns in tunnel of mangrove trees), 2.5 miles or so of dual track with sugar sand (ugh!)... the rest is a cooldown ride back on sidewalks or reverse and go back for more!

How to get there:
Ulamay park is off of Sykes Creek Road/Banana River Road between 528 and 520 in Merritt Island. Park by yellow gate... bike pass the gate and turn left (1/4 mile in, you'll pass a lookout tower). The trail runs north from the tower to 528; along the south side of 528 to Banana River Road. Take the road back south to the park.

I took the left route with a few friends that follows Sykes creek to Sykes creek bridge then follows the beach line east to Kelly park. the majority of it was a skinny trail on a small winding strip of land, large grass and low hanging tree limbs were a problem at so times but never had to dismount, although as you reach Sykes creek bridge and start to follow the beach line the trail becomes very hard to maneuver for about the first 300yds then opens up, all in all its a fun trail that is a decent size and will keep you entertained

I ride this trail often because it is close to my house. It is a decent ride and it is best in the winter and the spring when the mosquitoes aren’t bad and the tall grass on the trail dies back. There are really 2 trails and you can ride them as a 9 mile loop with some road (sidewalk) connecting them. Just follow the directions in the trail description except when you come out on Banana River Drive and take your right, don’t take the road all the way to the entrance of Ulamay Park. Instead take a right (west) on West Central Ave (there is a light). West central dead-ends right into the other trail. This trail starts out single-track. After a while it becomes double-track and you will eventually approach a chain link fence. Take a right before the fence. This is a single track through a tunnel of Brazilian pepper trees. It eventually takes you back to double track which leads you right back to the Ulamay gate.

I would like to see some people meet on a weekend clean-up project. This trail has NOT been kept up. Need a lot of work.

there is plenty of compression hills to work on the south side of the area thru the mangrove tunnels

Very flat, some techninical 2nd half. Over grown. Need to turn around at the bridge or end up in a neighborhood.

Good tight technical single track in the woods. There's plenty of more open area also. Very flat though, no hills to hump. That can be either a good or bad thing. Oh, another thing, you can go either way from the entrance, left or right. Both are respectable trails.
