Trail Description:
There are lots of four-wheeler trails all over Coldwater mountain. A few times the trail crosses Coldwater creek and some other mountain streams. Very beautiful area, lots of wildlife. It's only about a 20 minute trail but it loops!!!

How to get there:
Locate the Coldwater Winn Dixie on Hwy 78, or the coldwater exit on I20, then turn onto the new road towards 202 and if you know the area you will want to go to the Coldwater Pump road. (The major landmark here is the Water Station at the Spring mouth of coldwater creek. There is a big water-collecting dome that resembles the teletubby house! HeHe) And the trail starts there.. This trail has many forks and turns, but you will rarely ever see anyone out there but me.. Once I rode all day and came out at the big water tank in oxford, you know the one that says "Welcome to Oxford" Now that was a long trip. (Fun though)

Fwiw, be aware that some of the trails on Coldwater do cross private property! ATV's are not allowed on any of the trail in this area per Forever Wild.

The access mentioned at Craft road is not authorized as it is private property. Please find another access and stay on the main roads

If you can find this trail based on this description more power to ya. I found it after about 30 minutes of driving around the area. New roads built I guess. Now if you take 78 away from oxford towards talldega and eastaboga you take a right at the red light before the coldwater winn dixie. you pass a trailer and a house and then you see a lake on your right there is a road beside a power pole to park on. Mud puddles galore. Start there and cross the creek. Coldwater creek has a rare fish called Pigmy Skulpins that are almost extinct. They are only found in Anniston Alabama. Endangered species I think it is.

There's more than a 20 minute ride buddy! If you take Craft Rd. off of the coldwater pump rd. it turns into an epic ride if you're not careful.

Its basically a fire road\power line road. It does go all the way to Oxford though. I had to "renegade" this one.
