Trail Description:
This park has 8 miles of advanced trail and about 4 miles of dbl track beginner riding. Many many many man made obstacles. A-frames, teetor toters, bridges, ladders, log jams, rock piles, and bmx style jumps. The Spoke Junkies of Lansing have put many hours of hard work into building this trail up. There are even double diamond parts of the trail. Take the dbl diamonds seriously as there is a 5 foot cliff in one of them.

How to get there:
Take hwy 96 to the MLK/Logan St./Eaton Rapids Rd exit. head south to Bishop ST. about 1/3mi then go left(east) until bishop dead ends to a T-Stop then go right (south) on Grovenburg until it dead ends. Hang a right and head west until you see a sign that says "Riverbend Natural Area" Take a right at the sign. Park in the parking lot at the end of the drive way and see the trail map.

Additional Notes:
Lots of fun. Please wear a helmet as the trail demands it.

I rode Birchfield for 3 years while in law school. I'm from Montana and have to say Birchfield rocks. I got addicted and needed therapy to quit (actually I moved home).

Ias just there on thursday of last week - still snow covering the ground and the water level on the river is really high, eliminating some of the ridable trails right next to the river. Hit will warm up a little nbit soon and melt some of thise ice and snow. :-) Will try to keep this page updated.

Ive been riding some other trails around Big Rapids and they are nothing compaired to how fun this trail is. The teeter totters are fun, and the trails accompany a diverse crowd of riders.

This has turned out to be my home course and it's more fun to ride everytime I go. The technical trails are some of the best I've seen thus far with a ton of jumps, ladders, log rolls, rock piles, twists, turns, and switchbacks. Some decent climbs and bridges, teeter-totters. Such a customizable place. Check it out.

I've been back a couple times and have had fun each time but I can't seem to find the really fun part again -- I think the trail name is 'Drop Zone' -- I'm going back today and hope to find it again. Anyone know where it's at?

I don't have many other trails in Mo compare it to yet but it's definitely a lot of fun and a good workout. Iode most of the advanced trails and didn't think they were 'too difficult' for me. A lot of variety and one part in particular (I'll get the name next time) with some inspiring drops and doubles.

i think that this trial is great for everyone and that you should give this trial a try. I found that some of the more advance trails were not always hard but fun.

Great trail to ride in, especially considering the location! Lots of technical areas and plenty of places to challenge your skills. Some steep climbs and decents, but nothing too bad. This is the course that I started out on and everything since this one has seemed overly simple. Rode last week for 3 hours and rarely hit the same loops. Fantastic trail!
