Trail Description:
To get to the trails go over the bridge that crosses the creek. Once over the bridge, there are several trails to choose from but the best one to start on is the Peach Creek Loop. It's a beginner single track but there are spots for intermediate riders. After you finish the Peach Creek Loop ride up the gravel road and take left onto the hike/bike trail. It's also a single track with some root-rutted turns. Still relatively easy but a good workout. At the end you will come upon the gravel/dirt road and you want to make a left until you see a hike/bike trail sign pointing you to the right. This is a fire/maintenance road that will lead you to some additional single tracks that cut in and out of the pine trees and eventually take you to the creek (out and back).
How to get there:
From Houston take US-59 north (Eastex Freeway) past Kingwood until you reach New Caney. You will see signs for the park at the New Caney exit. Follow them to the park.
Additional Notes:
This is a state park so you have to pay an entrance fee of $3/person.

Great place to ride or walk/jog. I like the Peach Creek Loop Trail and going down the service road to the lake as well.

I rode apparently only certain portions. I recommend taking Peach Creek Trail and veer on the path to "Primitive Camping". This is a very windy path to offer some challenges along the way for intermediate bikers such as myself but nothing to hairy to cause serious doubt. No issues with spiders or snakes but this is a good time to go (February).

I agree. A good workout. Ground is sand covered with pine needles. Very soft terrain. Flat!

Not hard at all. The bridge is cool. The scenery is the best part. A good workout
