This area has been officially closed as a BMX area by the City of Toronto. It has been barricaded and signs posted " No bicycling permitted" and "No access". You will get fined and arrested for using this area for bmxing or biking off of the paved pathways. So f#@k you for biking off the paved pathways.

I've been riding these trails for about 10 years and i've never been aprehhended by police, maybe the guys that get hassled by the cops are smoking a joint with a shirt that says "f@ck the police" while riding

Although there are signs everywhere saying no Bikes I ride this place on an almost daily basis in the spring/summer/fall as a fun way to get down to the Martin Goodman Trail. There are some fun sections that you can really fly on that take you from the top of the park down off West rd to the pond. It can get very busy at times so just learn when to avoid going and slow to always down for the pedestrians! Contrary to other posts, I have yet to see a cop on a bike in there and I usually ride the worn in forest paths as opposed to the asphalt. There is a sick little BMX area on the south side just west of the spring rd. parking lot beside the eastern most "pond". Nice ride. The park can be mapped out in about 2 weeks of solid riding and offers some varied skill levels but mostly anyone who can ride off-road with some degree of speed and control will find this to be a fun place to ride and it offers many "escape routes" should the cops show up. Also has some steep stairs to climb on foot w

As soon as I saw High Park as an alleged "bike riding trail" I said to myself, 'what the hell? Yeah right'. You will get ticketed by police, whoever designated this place as a "trail ride" area should be slapped behind his head, he will get people in trouble.
