Trail Description:
Nice trails for beginner-intermediate riders. There are only a few muddy sections, and most of the trails are fast and hard-packed. Enter the trail from the picnic area on the lower south corner of Fort Henry, and continue through the trails to Highway 2. Most of the technical riding is on the opposite (north) side of highway 2--lots of rock gardens and angled switchbacks in here.
How to get there:
Drive about 1 minute east on highway 2--turn right at the first intersection after the cosway.

This was a great trail. To bad the MOD has closed it off. Why would they do that for? Beautiful scenery.

Yes the trail by fort henry has large yellow bars infront of it but on the other side there is the Canadian forces Yaght club and signs saying just to be careful of pedestrains. I would never jump the fence and just enjoy the nice trail nope never....any ways rode it today and it might not be best for begginers but take it slow the first time then fly....

The Fort trails are an enjoyable ride with nothing too challenging. The tricky part is linking everything up to get in a couple of hours. Be cautious with speed on blind corners since quite a few dog walkers and hikers are out there throughout the day. The loops on the north side of HWY #2 are great for hammering around. Find them by driving east of Kingston for 6 or 7 minutes, (past McDonalds for about 2-3 km) and turn L onto the dead end road just past Faircrest Blvd. (beside the little public school.) If you can hook up with someone in the know you will get to ride some trails that are otherwise tough to find. Enjoy.

Great place to learn. Good rock faces. Some Roots, great to learn, Good huck's depending on directions, Right down by the water, so a lot of wet after rain.
Some built-up but you have to find it (and fix it usually). Good flow in parts. Oh, and one good dirt jump. owch.

One of the better trails in the kingston area. It keeps going on for a while... If you are in the area.. give it a try.Go to Fort Henry parking lot.. at the top of the hill. the enterance is located at the back left corner.
