Little bit of everything here. Sweet whoop dee doo's, log piles, nice drops. A good, homegrown xc course.

How to get there:
US 1 South from I-40 to Tryon Rd Exit 98. Soon as you hit Tryon Rd, take a right on Regency Parkway. Continue on Regency, veering right at the lake. The road dead ends. Park at the last parking lot on the left. Ride past the cement barriers on the dirt road. Trails go left up into the hills. Enjoy!

Additional Notes:
Across from the Ampitheatre. Some night rides have the benefit of the symphony in the background.

I went out here today for the first time and had a hard time finding the trails. I stubled upon the dirt jump area up a hill directly across from the Amphitheatre off the Greenway trail. Are there any other singletrack trails left with all the construction?

These trails are very nice, since much of it has been bulldozed, a nice dirt jumping course has been made, most of the jumps are doubles making them a little iffy, but there are plenty of jumps/skinnys that amatuers can do, this is a nice spot to learn to jump, there are whoop-dee-do's that are real fun, as as well as some skinnys that are 2+ feet offf the ground. This is mostly a freeride network, but there is a good amount of single track as well. if you are looking for a 20 mile single/double track loop don't go to regency, but if you ride aggressive Off-road, DJ, or BMX I would highly recommend it for learning/showing off.

My technical skills have improved significantly thanks to this trail. When I first started riding, I was only able to go over small logs approximately 6” to 8” high, but know I can cut clean to about 2 feet, and still improving. So if you’re a beginner or an intermediate rider, and you’ve decided not to try this trail because it’s an advance course, you’re actually missing out on the opportunity to improve your tech-skills, and having your adrenaline rushing you through a few fear factors (trails on cliff edges). It’s worth it!!!

Trails here are lots of fun, coming here you have two options, you can run the powerline trails which are used mainly by guys offroading or there are trails off to the right, and there is also one neglected trail to the left between the powerline trails and new construction area and that trail could be decent if someone gave it some TLC. the trails to the right are fun, and could use some riders and some touching up here and there. there are some white knuckle parts on the righthand trail. i would recommend advanced riders only for the right hand trail, gets pretty steap and technical not to mention your on a cliff ledge with about a 50 ft drop. bunch of good log piles to toy with, all and all a great trail, good challenge, just needs more riders.

Latest on Cary Expansion: they have attempted to block off this trail with construction vehicles as of 8/5/06, and are building who knows what near it... however, it lives. It seems that it will remain, as it seems to be an access road for the power company, or at least was until erosion made it only for the hardcore offroaders of the cycle and automobile. Still accessable from a bike, just park in the last lot. This is excellent for any type of riding you want: climbing or a wet mud bath, and the rough terrain/deep ruts really work your suspension and body. Highly reccomended for the skilled. Best riding ive done.

Devlopment has overtaken most of the trails but there is still plenty of good riding between the power lines and Hwy 1. They apear to be motorcycle trails but are fun with plenty of technical climbs, decents and log problems.

Trails no longer exist thanks to the never ending need for Cary to leave nothing alone

The trails out here are awesome. Something for everyone but defently for the more experenced. They are building houses here and over on Atlantic which stinks bc they are the best and closest trails to ride..close to raleigh. Ride them as much as you can.
