Trail Description:
The trail is absolute pure fun. It is a 100% single-track rocky meandering picturesque trail that will lead you to beautiful untouched nature. Part of the trail runs along a stunning wild lake. Before you know it, you will end up out in the wild, miles from any civilization. Intermediate skills are required; this is not a beginner trail!

How to get there:
Coming from Halifax, drive along Saint Margaret's bay road outbound. Pass the exit to Peggy’s cove and continue until you see an Ultramar gas station. Park at that Ultramar. From the Ultramar, continue biking along Saint Margaret's bay road outbound for about 2-3 km. You will soon see on your left a beginner "Rail to trail" well maintained trail. Continue along that trail which follows Saint Margaret's bay road (still outbound). The trail will eventually pass under a highway overpass (highway 103). Immediately after that overpass, you will see the wild lake mentioned above. Jean’s Trail begins right after your pass the lake (it is on your left). Be careful, the entrance to the trail is difficult to see!

I rode this train yesterday. Only a couple really swampy spots require dismount. If a few more people ride this regularly there is good potential for some nice quick single track sections.

I just got back from riding this trail. Fun time, but boy, is it muddy! The trail goes through some pretty low marshy areas at the start, so don't ride this one in the spring or after heavy rain.

Sounds like this is the trail on the opposite side of the wilderness bluff trail (which doesn't allow bikers). This used to be maintained a little better, but is growing up lately, still good fun though. Eventually merges in with the deeper parts of the bluff trail.

fun trail for beginners, For those of us alittle more daring there are a few places throughout this trail to do some drops nothing major or hard core.

another way to get to this trail is to go to exit 4 highway 103 take a Left, go over the overpass (approx 1Km) Take a Left into Lake of the Woods Subdivision. Rail to trail runs left and right Take the left and you will come to the enterence in about 5 - 7 minutes ride
