Waverly Glen Trails

Trail Description:
Cedar stands, old logging trails, single track, double track, a little field perimeter, other. New trails recently cut as well....

How to get there:
NY route 17 -- get off at Sayre Athens, Waverly (Rt 220) Turn towards Waverly (North) go to stop sign, turn right. Go to Pine Street (on left about 200-300 yards), veer left and you'll see the signs. just go UP into the woods across the stream. Don't go down near the reservoir, keep going up around the water tower and into the old growth forest.

you might only see one or 2 riders here!

I you stay to the left after you leave the water tower/filter area you will eventually cross a stream. Past that stream there is 15 miles of sweet, rooty, rocky, twisty single track. for more details check out http://www.cycle-cny.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2256&sid=cacf74ea1ee0c24d40f144391d058e92

There is also a lot of primitive riding here, it could be a gold mine if there were more bikers in the area. There are man smaller loops that can be easily repeated, multidirectional. Park then procede directly up the hill, don't turn left, it's just a short little pathe up there, then you turn around. This park is not maintained, so the riding is pretty tough, not manicured.
