Beautiful and scenic, surrounding huge 2,800 acre lake. A true gem in the middle of nowhere. Singletrack is moderately challenging, with some treacherous rocky sections, along with open grassy hills. Worth a trip!

How to get there:
Hwy 400 and 105 from south, from the north check Yahoo Maps. About 1.5 to 2 hour drive from Wichita, Kansas City, and Topeka.

Additional Notes:
Check that park is open for season before you go. http://www.kdwp.state.ks.us/pmforum/toronto.html

Wonderful trail system. Overlook trail is fun, the front half is very difficult i don't know anyone who could do it, the back half is great. The blackjack and oak ridge trails are both really nice and pretty easy, except for a few places. Lots of beautiful oak trees and granite rocks. Great rides worth the trip.

Great track. I spent just a day down there and got in quite a few trails. The only problem was how poorly marked everything was. Views were nice, and there was hardly anyone out there. Bring plenty of bugspray though. We found at least 20 ticks on us after dousing with OFF deet 25 percent.

Best trail I've encountered in southeast Kansas. Well worth the drive. Short sections of prairie grass with lots of fast sections through oak grove alongside the lake. Enough rocks to keep it interesting without making it a lot of work. There are some ups and downs but mostly gentle. I'd rate the trail beginner to intermediate. There's a rock staircase or two where you have to get off unless you're insanely skilled. Otherwise, I kept moving and kept enjoying it. Great scenery. Take a friend with you and let him/her clear out the spider webs in front of you. Go -- you won't regret it.
