Typical trail Nazi crap making sure that mountain bikers are excluded. Just make a loop for the bikers and be done with it. But NO! This is a serious case of money over common sense. Those with money have complained loudest and made sure that mountain bikes are excluded. Yet they will ride their horses in areas like this and demolish an area quicker, then blame bicyclists.

Do not post anymore comments about this trail! It is not a legal riding trail. If you go there to ride you will be fined, and arrested. It is regularly patroled, so be warned. Maybe some day it will be open again, but it isn't now.

There’s a lot of excitement surrounding future plans to build new facilities at Cooper Mountain Natural Area. However, until public use can be carefully planned to protect its special natural features, Metro’s Cooper Mountain property is not officially open to the public. Indiscriminant use of the property has caused some land and habitat damage from newly-established informal trails and inappropriate activity (e.g. paintball games, mt. biking). There was even a recent man-caused fire on the property that could have been more serious. Consistent with its park rules (Metro Regulatory Code, Title 10.01.220), Metro recently posted signs on its Cooper Mountain property for no use of motorized vehicles, no firearms, no bikes and no dogs. To learn more about Cooper Mountain Natural Area in Beaverton and plans for new public facilities, guided trips and volunteer opportunities go to Metro's web site at www.metro-region.org.

There is no Whispering Pines Rd. on Grabhorn. Instead I took the first left after Cooper Mt. Vineyards and found a trailhead about 2 blocks up on the right. BUT, it is in restoration process and EXTREAMLY overgrown with prickers. Not worth the ride.

Trail a bit hard to find, I never saw a church like the last comment posted (wonder if we we're at the same place) but did see the metro signs. Good variety of terrain with some decent technical sections and nice climbs and descents. Will ride it again.

I say good only because its close to town, well in town. I did not look for wispering pines rd. Just looked for a trail. found it in about 2 sec. If you look to the right on the road after the church you can see a dirt trail going in to the woods. At the top of the road is a park. Jenkins Estate I think. Good park has a killer rhodednron garden nice trails to walk on and parking. You can get to the bike trails from there but dont ride in the main part of the gardens. Maps at the park or just walk some. the bike trail is west of the park and road.If you still can't find it park at the church, walk across the road and into the woods. you will be on the trail. Its a short ride- 3 mile loop with small pea grav and some dirt. Pretty trees. No signs so stay respectful!!!!

Did not find the trail head. There is no Whispering Pine Rd. Spent an hour driving on Copper Mt and found a Whispering fir that ended in a very small park. Am going to try to find out more and will get back and report. I could be wrong but I think this entry was a scam.
