Trail Description:
Some really good trails for the intermediate mountain biker. Comes out halway around the lake at a very nice vista. At the vista you can cross into second woods for some really good steep technical riding. A couple of good descents and a couple of good, short climbs.
How to get there:
Take Interstate 88 to Exit 3 (castle creek?) Take a left at the stop sign at the end of the off-ramp and continue on this road until you see the entrance to the park on your left hand side.
Additional Notes:
After leaving the pay area, stay right and go around the loop, past the ranger's house to left

About 13 miles of trails that are poorly marked by VERY WELL maintained by the Chenango Point Cyclers club. One day there's a tree limb blocking the trail; the next day: sawdust.
Once you leave "River Road" the best series of trails in the park is up "Hamburger Hill" but the climb is well worth it. Trails are marked at some trail junctions with small markers like "S" or "R". Those that have maintained the trails have done an excellent job of constructing obstacles for the enjoyment of MTBs.

rough riding with many rocks. Some roots. Did it when it was dry, can imagine rocks are rather slippery when wet. Many up and downs, which are short. a few switch-backs make it alittle technical.Nice ride along river on a very narrow single track.

Great variety for all. Lots of rocks, roots and tree crossings. Great single track maintained by some very dedicated people. (The tall guy on the Canondale has done much for the place) It's a great 10 mile loop of single track connected by rolling jeep trails. The trail along the river rocks and the climb back up the "puke" is awesome.
