Trail Description:
Former Military Road that parallels the Panama Canal that hasn't been used in several decades. It is now used by the Smithsonian Institute for jungle research. During the Rainy season its very technical, fast, steep, wet, and muddy. Its everything you want in a pretty heart pounding ride. Several jungle bridge creek crossings, small rocks abound, and the mud can be thick. But damn its an Epic Ride. I am not even going to comment on the Howler Monkeys, birds, other monkeys, ant eaters, buterflies, and other incredible wildlife that you will encounter on the trail. Only problem is that you have to prepare yourself for the tough Jungle Humidity. But this is one epic ride that is a must ride if you get a chance to get to Panama City in Panama.
How to get there:
take the road to Gamboa Resort and drive another 8 or 10 miles until you see a Gas Station with a large parking lot. Actually call the guys at ExtremePanama.com for directions they will be happy to give you better info than I have right now.
