Trail Description:
Horizon's Bike Trail is indeed open to the public. It is a 5.8 mile course that sits atop a bluff overlooking the Arkansas River. Expect about 95% singletrack, fast dirt roads, hair-raising ascents, fast downhills, and some rocks to navigate. Ride along a ridge overlooking the Arkansas River. Not recommended for beginers.

How to get there:
Horizon Center is tucked away in the beautiful hills of South Central Kansas. Follow Highway 77 into Arkansas City. Near the south end of town is Madison Street. Turn east onto Madison and follow that road (which changes to County Road 12 at the city limits) for approximately 3.5 miles. At that point there will be a fork in the road where County 12 will curve to the left. You will need to curve to the right onto County 6. Follow County 6 for 2.5 miles. Turn right at the large Horizon sign and go 1 mile south to the Horizon entrance.

The G1 Android 2.35's processing capabilities are likely to be similar to the current iPad 4, with the thinner, lighter design and improved display the key selling points for the new tablet, Horwitz says.

Very nice trail. Well marked with challenging and great terrain. Difficult climb at the end of the trail.

It is an amazing trail... It is hard to complete especially for beginners but it is possible... Trust me... I am a beginner and it was really nice... Except for the dead armidillo... lol...

Just went this last weekend and it was great. I really don't think you can get much better in Kansas. A good mix of everything. Not for beginners.

Just arrived home from the trail, it was great except for the severe raping I recieved from the mosquitos! Make sure to take bug spray. Good mix of up hill and down with technical areas as well. Best trail I have been to in Kansas so far.

The best mix of technical sections, climbs, and down hill thrills in Kansas. Part of the Tour de Dirt series of races the Tour de lizard race through the 9+ miles of trails is not for beginners.

this is some of the best terrain. my aunt and i have done this trail two times now and it just keeps getting better and better every time. theres alot of up hill but at the same time alot of the downhill tech. stuff its a great mix of the two.

Although I haven't ridden anything else in Kansas, I'd guess this is one of the best rides in the state. I was pleasently surprised with the trail, as it was kept up nicely and well marked. There is just enough technical terrain to to test your skills, and has a good mixture of up and down. Although it isn't nearly as techinical as most of the trails I have done in AZ/CA, it was still challenging with a few spots that could put the hurt on you if you make a mistake. I rode this trail 2 days after a good rain, and although the trail was wet, it wasn't very muddy. About half of the trail is in the shade under trees and the other half is through tall grassy hills. It was well worth the drive from Wichita. (A little over an hour.)
