Ride Summary:
Mostly flat, rocky loop trail, high altitude ride over 7,000.
Trail Description:
The trail begins at Forest Road 206 and winds through ponderosa pine and pinon-juniper woodland forest. Surrounding landscapes are the highlight of the excellent views. Flagstaff's San Francisco Peaks are visible on a clear day. For a little more trail and excellent views, climb to either one of the Twin Knolls. Follow the trail markings for Panorama Trail #635.
How to get there:
From Lakeside Ranger Station (520.368.5111) drive .2 miles on AZ 260 towards McNary. Take a left on Porter Mountain Road (FR 45) and drive another 6.0 miles towards Vernon. The trailhead is on Forest Road 206.

I would rank this trail technical beginner but the
climb up has some steep switchbacks. It takes
you through some of the most beautiful pine in the
White Mountains.

This trail is easy enough, but if you bring a beginner they will need to be in shape because there is a fairly long up hill section (not steep just long).
