Trail Description:
Several hiking trails linked together behind Ritter Park in Huntington. A few long blacktop climbs set you up for some high speed downhills on some old closed roads that lead to some great single track. Lots of variety. Beginner walking trails are open to bike traffic with very little elevation change...all fine gravel. Great for the wife or kids. All the "real mountain bikers" cross the bridge behind the rose garden and proceed for a few hours of single track fun.
How to get there:
Take I-64 to the 5th st. exit. Just over the hill, turn right at the stoplight go 1 block and you'll see the park and rose garden. Parking below the rose garden and have a good time.

talks alot of smack for a team that was ranked 3rd and had trouble beating an unranked team, the trail is close to home and offers some great training grounds

I found the trail to be a decent trial for beginners. It has the right variety of terrain to provide training for various skill levels. BG WVU, for someone who thinks Marshall country "sucks" you sure spend a lot of time in the area, what's wrong Mountaineer terrain too steep?

I would rate this fair at best. Not many big mountains around here so dont expect to much. IF your looking for more difficult terrain you might want to visit Mountaineer country....GO WVU. On a side note, dont bother seeing Marshall, it sucks!
