Trail Description:
This ride is mostly an old logging road though it ends with some singletrack. The singletrack is often overgrown making it a little tough. The hilight of this ride is the great views of the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River Valley.
How to get there:
Take I-90 East to Exit #31 in North Bend. Turn left onto North Bend Blvd. Turn right on East North Bend Way. Take a left onto SE Mt. Si Road. Pass the Mt. Si Trailhead on your left and continue 1.2 miles past it. Park on the left next to the unsigned, gated road.
Additional Notes:
This is the only trail in the North Bend Ranger District open to bicycles.

Agreed, there are some dogs and cars up there. That is why we drive all the way to the gate to avoid riding on that section.
On a side note, the CCC trail extension off of the Middle Fork road is awesome! Just past where the CCC road hits the Middle Fork road, there is a CCC trailhead. I only rode the first mile or so, but it was a fun single track. I reccomend it.

Well, I'm not sure I want to brave the dog gauntlet. In riding up this unpaved road from the Teneriffe parking lot, there were a couple of trucks which were definitely going out of their way to ride right near me, despite the width of the dirt road. That, and the dogs in one of the residences along the road came running out onto the road. Real friendly place.

It seems that this road has been maintained recently. On the ride today, the road was in pretty good condition and showed signs that it had recently been improved.
We parked at the gated entrance on CCC road rather than at the Mt. Teneriffe gate to save some time. We rode up and explored several side roads and trails which was pretty fun. Found a sweet camp site someone made in a rock outcropping where there were several un-opened beers stashed.
We didn't go the full length of the CCC road as we got a late start on it. There are good views, but the riding is fairly bland as it is mostly rock and dirt roadway. I look forward to coming back to ride the full length of the road.
The directions listed here are accurate

Drive straight past the Mt. Si trail head. At 1.2 mi past you will see the Mt. Teneriffe parking area. Continue driving up the Mt. Si road. Ignore the sign that says "No rec

PS1: By going up Mt Si Rd, I mean continue on your bike down the road you were driving down. Don't go up the gated road that they tell you to park at. That goes up Mt Teneriffe, and it's a BEAR of a climb.
PS2: A Green Trails map really helps. Get the one for Mt Si NRCA; they carry it at REI.

Could someone give better directions to the trail/old logging road? I followed both this site and the MTB trail book directions and ended up riding a bunch of short freeride trails (which by the way were pretty cool)in the area.
Next time in the area, I would like to hit the CCC road for the vistas everyone raves about.

I've taken this "trail" many times. It is a little steep in the beginning if you ride from where the pavement ends (recommended)I saw dirtdude's note and I had to comment. dude must have gotten on the wrong trail. CCC is basically a logging road, pretty good for the first 5 miles, and then gets rocky, with a few washouts, but wide. It is an excellent scenic ride with just a few challenging spots.
