Site of the Loop #4 section of the annual Multiple Sclerosis Mountain Bike ride and Part of the '95 BBTC Poker Ride. This area climbs up to Lake Marie and the surrounding are. There is really only two good wasy up the hill and only one good way up off the Snoqualmie valley trail. However, once up. there are several good variations for going down. Some more challenging than others! Will all the trail in the area and a loop up around by Lake marie. you can put an easy 2+ hours out here without repeating. Remember, this is Weyerhauser land and please respect their wishes in order to retain the priviledge of riding here.

How to get there:
Head east on I-90 to the Preston-Fall City Exit. Turn left, over the hwy and then right, towards Fall City. Once in town, turn right on 202 and over the bridge and veer right on 203 towards Snoqualmie Falls. After about 2 miles, you will come to 356th. Turn left and head up the hill to the trailhead parking on the Snoqualmie Valley trail. To access the area, head East on the RR grade for about a mile or so until you come to a well used trail on your left. If you ride under the powerlines, you have gone too far. The trail to your left will take you on a gradual climb up to the powerline road. There are several trails in that flat, lower area and more above, to the North.

these are fun tech trails. I like the road up and steeps down. Ive been just a handfull of time and i likes these trails. Some are too much for me, but flowtron is awsome. We found a new trail today that neither one of us had ever seen. It was fun too. Since Duthie Hill got rolling the traffic here is a lot less. Its like a miny real bike ride. Some vert and some good decents.

All the single track trails in this area were originally built by horse riders years ago and are gradually being taken over by cyclists. Cyclists and horses need separate trails for obvious reasons. One serious accident between a bike and a horse and the forest management company will shut the place down, seriously. Time for cyclists to make new trails for their own use. Sharing will never work except on the dual track trails.

This used to be one of my favorite trails until someone cut it down. I went there about a month ago and found that a bunch of the trails had been trashed (I only know of one that wasn't- and it was just the upper half). Someone cut down all of the ladders and cut the rungs down the middle, making everything completely ruined. This trail used to be fast and flowy, but now its no good.

Jeez. I live in Fall City and I grew up on those trails. The trails are well maintained by a group of people and the people who ride up there. Once you get up to the power-line road, there is a lot of good single-track stuff on that lower area, no climbing required. But if you are looking for more fun, you can go up toward the rest of the lines and follow the trails off and up for some nice down-hill. It really is some good riding.

omg. there really are trails up there. after my 8th trip up there i finely found single track. i never did see any power line road. after climbing up a short steep section on the west side of the tokel creek tressle i ran into an old dirt road and took a left. basicly heading back the way i came, i ran across multibale trails that crossed the road. this was the only way i was able to find my way in and out. i'd be thrilled to ride with bob any time or any one else that knows the area. i no longer attend club rides due to sevral bad experances so please do not invite me on one of those. i still suport the club because of the good it does. but........

I found these trails my first time before ever visiting this site. However, I started from the upper lot of the Salish.... Perhaps RBA should try that approach!

By the way RBA, been thinkin' about how many times you tried to find the trails and I'll be willing to give you a personal tour of the area if that will help. Just let me know when.

thanks a lot Bob. i'v now been up there 6 times. from the parking area at 356th. or what ever. on the john wain trail i took every trail that was on there, all the way up to the tunnel at the end of the trail. i saw one little nature trail that started near the big big trussle about 1/2 way to the trails end. i'v been there 6 times now. the directions are far from Excellent. the club is what? 500 plus members strong? how about taking taking 5 min and post some sort of map on the BBTCs web site? its quite possable that i'm not the only one that cant find the trails :)

Bad Att. You must really have one as the trails are very obvious from the powerline road. There are about 2-3 miles of trail on the flats as well as a couple miles more on the hillside North of there. You will see them peeling off the road climb to the east of the powerlines. While not enough for a good long ride, it's plenty for a hefty after work one. and, the climb up the logging road or under the powerlines are a nice refeshing change from Tiger. 5 times? I found most of it the first time out there. Excellent directions too.
