Trail Description:
This trail runs along a river bank. In the winter it is a X-country ski trail. There are lots of trees and wind is not usually a factor. The terrain is rolling but there are a few tough climbs. Not too much technical terrain or singletrack but a great aerobic workout nonetheless.

How to get there:
On the Yellowhead (hwy 16) take the Vermilion exit and follow the Alberta provincial park signs. Go past Lakeland College and turn right. Go past the firefighters training center until you reach the park boundaries. There is also a campground right there. The trails are down in the valley. Have fun!!

The Vermilion Provincial Park does actually consist of some widely spaced tight sections of single track. Altough they are far and few between there are improvements to the singletrack trail system that is happening right now. For the single track continue into the horse trails and look for the trailheads or give me a call at home @ 780-853-4670. But if pure long singletrack rides is what your after your out of luck right now!
