Trail Description:
Its basically all roots, rocks at times and logs around the trail. you need tech skills to get through some of it and the rest is fun. there are little creeks on some of the trails. Watch out for big drops and fallen trees and logs. (not something you can just jump off, these are big drops and the landing is not clear. if you decide to jump off you'll end up in the trees. (if some of you still decide to go for it, no worries the hospital is close by). there are trails all around the area, follow the direction and you can explore the trails yourself.

How to get there:
There are a couple of ways to get there:

1) park in the Hospital that is on the Intersection of US29 and Harris. (if you are going N 29, it will come up on your right), go to the north side of the hospital and look for a small lake downhill. ride down to the lake and at the edge of the lake is a gate, go in there and look for the trail and you'll end up finding a whole bunch.

2) Other way is to go to UNC Charlotte and go to the Softball field, (the softball field, baseball field, tennis courts and soccer field are all in that one area)

go over to the end of the Softball field and go up to the empty ground and look around for the trail start)

Additional Notes:
There are a whole lot of trails around and some of them are technical.

The description of this trail is a bit misleading, and the previous comment even more so. It seems that there arent a lot of people checking this trail out anyways, but I feel that I must justify this. The trails are pretty technical and difficult and span for about 14 miles in different locations. There are other trails in charlotte that are perhaps more well marked, but it would be hard to say that they are any better if you know these trails and what you are talking about. dave

Not a bad set of trails for beginners-intermediate riders. However, there are better trails in Charlotte than this one. Due to all of the construction on campus, the trails have been broken up a bit.
