Trail Description:
Palmer Park has a number of trails, they range from "beginner" to "expert" although none are all that hard. they can be fun however. There are a lot of steep climbs and nice down hill riding. trails are open to Hickers and horses too.
How to get there:
Palmer Park is located at Academy and Mazeland, in Colorado Springs.
Additional Notes:
you should try all the trails untill you find one you like.

Wide variety of terrain, beginner to
advanced, for the location. You won't
destroy multiple rigs here unless you're
on a Walmart bike or are riding terrain
over your ability. If you're looking for
the more extreme terrain head a little
west and talk to the locals. Not to take
anything away from Palmer but I feel
it's more suited for XC riders and after
work riding.

Excellent, I cut my teeth in this park and am forever spoiled by it, I've rode other trails in the area and they all come up short. No other park can offer the variety and fun of trail riding you get there. You can get in a great ride after work and ride as long as your legs can take it. I've introduce many a friend to this trail, all beginners, and they all have praised how tough it is and thrilling it will be when they get up to speed. The only downer for this trail is that you get a good amount of people who do not share the respect for the trails, mostly teenagers with nothing better to do. On the flip side I have met many more people on the trails, to include out of staters, who tell me how lucky we are to such a park in town. Ride on!!

Palmer Park has a trail for every level of rider. If you like to go extreme trust me it's there, if you just feel like taking it easy with the family you can do that also. God I love living in Colorado Springs, it just doesn't get any better.

Palmer park is a gem. 5 mins. from my house, yes I'm a lucky man. Great place to hone tech skills and see some Maniac Free Riders bomb it off some cliffs. Love those guys! MTB 4 Life!

grew up riding these trails in the late 80's early 90's and are still some of the most fun I ever had on a bike. backside of the park below the bluffs can be very technical

I agree with the second guy. These are my favorite trails. Period. I've lived in CSprings my whole life, and riddne everything from Manitou to Captain Jacks to Barr Trail, and Palmer park is where it's at baby! SMACK in the heart of town, and miles upon miles upon miles of riding. Very easy to get lost.... definitley some epic rides. Something for everyone.... the trails are rated just like ski slopes. Blue, Green and black.... and the blacks are no punk. I have yet to clean Edna Mae beginning to end. Anyway, if you're ever in the 719, go to Palmer Park!

Insane rating from whoever posted
this. These are some of the best Urban
trails on the planet, and is why
CSprings is rated 4th in the country
from Bike mag on trail access.
I know half a dozen trails there that
the author of the first post would
never clear in his/her life - it is
hard to take beginners into Palmer
Park. If in the springs, go there,
and ride the trails that are up high,
yet still under the bluffs.
