Trail Description:
The trail follows the Middle Fork of the

Popo Agie River upstream from the Popo Agie Falls Parking Area. The trail climbs steadily and once past the turn off to the Falls, become very rocky & technical. There are several variations and other loops out of the campgrounds located along the river. There is also a killer ride up a fire road that turns into a trail system on a contour well above the river valley.

How to get there:
From Lander, find signs along the main drag to the Sinks Canyon area. Go past Sinks Canyon to the parking area for the Popo Agie Falls hike. Follow the trail up river.

Additional Notes:
Watch out for the bears.

...unless you can handle water-bars, and LIKE rocky, technical terrain!!!

This trail has be ruined by the USFS who installed water diversion logs about every 50 yards for the first mile or two. After that the trail gets progressively rocky and technical. Don’t waste your time.
