Trail Description:
Redbug is a fairly technical singletrack (but beginners can have fun too). Up and down both sides of a ravine with lots of roots, this trail connects to many hiking, riding (horse) and fire/timber roads. For the Tallahassee area . . . an excellent ride.
How to get there:
Take I-10 to 319. North on 319 (Thomasville Rd.) to Maclay Rd. (a U turn is required. Turn north on Meridian Rd.
Trail can be entered at the Youth Sports complex (on Left) or slightly further up at Forest Meadows Park (also on left).
Additional Notes:
Across the street from Forest Meadows is Maclay Overstreet trails. Nice easy loops (a few hills).

If you like riding roots you'll like this trail. Leave the hard-tail at home and bring your full suspension bike. If you haven't been to the hospital lately: ride it after a rain; the roots are so slick you are guaranteed to get off your bike one way or the other.

Technical challenge and hills to boot. Lots of roots and close encounters with trees! HUGE drop (for Tallahassee) into Fern Gully. Wear a helmet!
