Trail Description:
This trail is awesome. It is all single track. 6 miles of up hill and 6 miles of bomber downhill. The first couple of miles are somewhat rocky but the trail will eventually smooth out. There are many other trails that can be done from this trail head. I opted to take the Lodgepole Gulch trail to Mahoney Creek. I would suggest that once the Lodgepole trail meets the Red Warrior trail junction (approx @ 6 mi) that you turn around and come back down the way you rode up. The Mahoney Creek downhill sees a lot of action and the trail has a lot of loose rock on it and is getting somewhat beat up.

How to get there:
Drive 6 miles south of Ketchum and turn west on Greehord Road and continue west until you hit the dirt parking lot. ***The trail starts west of the parking lot, NOT south (the south trail is a different ride)***

this trail was a killer for me after the haul up greenhorn gulch to red warrior over Mars Ridge and down to Lodgepole, then finish on mahoney gulch.....rode it solo in 4 hrs w/a few hike-bike sections...super sweet down hill rollers thru the trees, left me wanting more
