The Scrub

Trail Description:
You can choose from two trails, the 6 mile course goes back into this prairie type thing and you ride through the woods and around the lake. There is also a one mile trail that is windy through the woods. This trail is for people who want to get out and just ride and take it easy without too many big hills.

How to get there:
Lakeland Highlands road going towards 540A and Publix. Keep going past publix down Lk Hgnds Rd. When you get to the stop sign, keep going straight until there is a gate to the phos. the trail head is on the right.

Additional Notes:
TAKE WATER!! Bathrooms on site.

One of the long trail loops could be set up as a USCF-spec cyclocross run. Some running in soft sand but I was able to manage in 700x30c tires. Watch out for the mosquitos and biting flys!

the short trail is ok but i definitely not suggest the long one. The sand is very thick and hard to ride thru. Also towards the end make sure your eyes are open because the trail kinda goes into a lake.

I enjoy the shorter trail, good scenery and fun. I do not like the longer trail. It is preety much all sand and is really boring.
